Sarah is 14 years old and was excited to hear about the Winter Holiday Council competition and wanted her ornament to resemble something special to her! Sarah sees the "Nutcracker" every year with her mom and wanted her work to reflect how she felt and how the beautiful dancers looked. The "Sugar Plum Fairy" is inspired by the leotard and tutu from the "Nutcracker" with a signature pose for the ballerina. After drawing the ballerina, the Loveland heart seemed like the perfect backdrop.
