2024 SUBMISSIONS CLOSED 

Thank you to everybody who submitted artwork for the 2024 pewter ornament! Submissions are closed and the winner has been notified. We will be making a public announcement in April! The 2025 ornament call for artist will open at the same time that the 2024 winner is announced to give artists more time to get their art in. JOIN THE LEGACY

Loveland’s Winter Holiday Council is now taking artist submissions for its 35th annual cast pewter Christmas ornament! This is your chance to become a part of Loveland History. 

 

Fine line drawings, photographs and sculptures submitted before March 15, 2024 will be considered for the contest. The winning artist will receive a $500 cash prize, the first ornament cast, and their signature will be stamped on the back of every ornament. They will also be granted rights to purchase a limited number of ornaments at cost for their own use.
Themes may be “religious or secular, serious or funny or showcase something significant to the Loveland community at the holiday season.''
Designs must be able to fit within a 3-by-5-inch box and be no more than 1/4-inch thick. They should also include the words “Merry Christmas,” “2024” and either “Loveland, Colorado” or “Loveland, CO.”
Finished ornaments will be cast in fine silver bearing pewter, antiqued, hand-buffed and boxed. The clear top display box will include a card from the winning artist with their biography and an artistic statement. The ornament is also adorned with a ribbon for outside of the box display. 

Submissions should be sent as a JPG file to WinterHolidayCouncil@gmail.com with “2024 LOVELAND ORNAMENT SUBMISSION” as the subject line and their name, contact information and the size of their design in the email body.
